What goes into a guide

We review manufacturer documentation, official product information, retailer information and other reliable product sources. We identify how a product is designed, its relevant specifications, its practical limitations and the buyer questions it can answer.

How we present the information

Each guide explains what stands out, what deserves a closer look and who may find the product suitable. We compare alternatives where that helps a real buying decision. If a detail is uncertain, we leave it unverified rather than fill a gap with a claim.

Research and testing

Our current guides are researched product overviews. They are not hands-on tests. We do not claim to have owned, used, measured or tested a product unless the guide explicitly documents that work.

Keeping guides useful

Product details can change. We correct material errors and date substantive updates when we make them. Affiliate relationships are disclosed and do not turn our guides into merchant listings.
